Hall of Fame Trainer Cindy Brooks established Northern Run, LLC, in February of 1999. Since Northern Run’s inception, Cindy has selected and produced, year after year, some of California’s top hunters.

bio-cindy-thumb260x375What sets Northern Run’s program apart from the others is Cindy’s intent to operate a business small in numbers which would provide the time necessary for one on one attention to each horse and rider. She oversees, along with her staff, every aspect of every horse’s program and provides the best quality care and supervision. Her program is individualized and she consistently evaluates and reviews long and short term goals with her riders and owners.
Every effort is made to ensure the longevity of each horse’s career by including in her team the most esteemed advisors in their field: Starwood Equine (veterinary), Richard Brook (farrier) and Amanda Apesos (acupuncture and chiropractic). The professionalism, organization and attention to detail, along with a solid team and work ethic, give Northern Run that competitive edge.

All of these qualities were instilled in Cindy from an early age. Having grown up in one of the most respected families in the horse business she has followed in their footsteps to become the outstanding horsewoman that she is today.

Omaha Beach, Aruba, Cartouche, Saturday Matinee, Touch My Heart, Lascaux, Keep The Change and Augustus were all young horses brought along in her program to become top west coast champions.
